With 30 years experience in the business, Eric Fisher is recognized worldwide.  With hard work, education, and dedication his career has prospered to a high level of success winning an unprecendented number of awards. Throughout his years in the industry, Eric has developed a vast and diverse group of friends throughout the world who do cover shoots for magazines, work on music videos, style on movie sets, creat the hairstyles for top runway designers, charge $500 for a haircut and work in some of the best salons in the nation.  If you have a career goal in mind, once you graduate, Eric will put you in touch with his contact coast-to-coast.

Master the latest styles and techniques with hands-on-training from our salon floor.  Our salon floor services over 300 guest a week, teaching you how to do modern, up-to-date looks.  Eric Fisher spends his Saturdays working with EFA's Future Professionals on the salon floor.

Eric Fisher Academy is a natural extension of the Eric Fisher Salons.  From the customer service, ambiance, business skills, products and techniques - we teach what works in the real world.  We know this because they're the same techniques used in the very successful Eric Fisher Salons.  The salons have won numerous awards including "Salon of the Year" and named one of the top 200 salons in the nation.

Every 6 to 8 weeks, EFA Cosmetology Students have the opportunity to participate in a haircutting jam session with Eric Fisher Salon's top stylists.

Eric Fisher Academy students have the opportunity to enter competitions including the prestigious North American Hairstyling Awards and the Beacon Award.  In the last five years, eight EFA students have been a finalist for a NAHA and in 2009, Kelli Parks won in the Student Hairstyling category. Our students have won Nuts and Bolts International Business Student of the Year in Cosmetology and Esthetics and we've had two Beacon Award Winners and three Honorable Mentions.  In 2011, Michael Sengvilay won the Sassoon Cut and Color competition.

A leader in the makeup industry, EFA offers the MAC Pro Cosmetics program to all of our students.

During the last phase of the program, EFA students participate in a runway show and graduation allowing you to gain experience in event planning, work hands on with models and capture a true glimpse of a real world runway show and photo shoot.  You'll find the model and choose the look, creating it with hair and makeup.

Involvement with the community is a great networking source.  EFA student opportunities have included a photo shoot with Naked City magazine, a Circle of Friends Beauty Bootcamp, Club Fuzion Breast Cancer Benefit runway show makeup, Wichita Wild Dance Team photo shoot makeup and Wichita Women's Fair hair lessons to name a few.

During your time at EFA, you will have the opportunity to do three mock State Boards to prepare you for the practical and written exams. We create a State Board environment to fully prepare and give you confidence on the "real" test day. Upon completion of the state required hours, you will be required to pass a practical and written exam to obtain your license.  When you graduate from EFA, you will be prepared to work in a professional salon or spa.
